Bio-X Awards Program
The Bio-X awards were originally funded and further developed by Professor Lin He with an initial fund of USD33,000 in 2003. Since 2004, one Bio-X award was given with one year's bank interest of the fund, which is intended to encourage the innovation and fruitful hard work for those young scientists who are passionate in working in Life Science or the relevant fields.
Award Requirements:
Candidates: Postgraduates and undergraduates in Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Qualifications: The original research paper in the field of Life Science or the relevant interdisciplinary study affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which has been published between 1st March and the last day of the following February.
Criteria: The publication in the peer-reviewed journal with highest Impact Factor.
Number of Winners: One.
Amount: One year's bank interest of the fund.
Distribution of the money: 70% of the money will be awarded to the first author and the 30% will be awarded to the other co-authors.
Deadline for application: The last day of each February
Award date: March 15th each year
