Institute for Neuropsychiatric Sciences and Metabonomics was founded on 30th Mar. 2006 and supported by both Bio-X Institutes of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Changning Greenland Hospital. The Institute mainly focuses on studies of mental and psychiatric diseases with its integration of medical treatment, prevention, research and teaching with aiming to the applications of translational medicine. In addition, it is playing an important role in serving for a platform of academic exchange and scientific research.

 

 

Affiliated Hospital of Bio-X Institutes

In 2006, Bio-X Institutes of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Changning Greenland hospital made an agreement that affiliated hospital of Bio-X Institutes, Shanghai Jiao Tong University was founded based on Changning Greenland hospital. Affiliated hospital of Bio-X Institutes is a special hospital integrating medical science, research, prevention and treatment in psychiatric disorders. It covers a land area of 30,000 square meters, and a building area of 15,000 square meters, with more than 400 open ward beds. The titled affiliated hospital of Bio-X Institutes will set new strategic orientation and service purpose. The future work will focus on the Translational Medicine.

 

 

Association of Bio-X Institutes Alumni, Oversea Branch

Association of Bio-X Institutes Alumni (ABIA) was founded in 2007. It is a nongovernmental organization proposed by Dawei LI. The first president of ABCA (oversea branch) is Wanqing LIU. APCA is to serve Bio-X Institutes alumni, exchange students and scholars, by providing a platform for communication among them, improving the development of Bio-X Institutes, strengthening the connection between Bio-X Institutes and alumni all over the world. The ultimate purpose of ABCA is "to promote the Chinese national prosperity through the brand effect of Bio-X Institutes, Shanghai Jiao Tong University".
